Course description The following topics will be presented during this masterclass: 1) Childhood lymphoedema; classification and features of hereditary lymphoedema 2) The early years; from baby to schoolchild – an exploration of treatment needs within the context of child development 3) The teenage years; setting priorities and challenges of engagement 4) Setting up a service for children 5) Assessment and treatment; theory and practice.
Learning outcomes After this masterclass the attendees are familiar with the different forms of lymphoedema in children and they can compose a treatment plan which is well underpinned and apply this to children with lympoedema.
Target group Physiotherapists with a lot of clinical experience in the treatment of people with lymphoedema
